McDermott cues are the result of over 35 years of pool cue making experience. These cue are made in America by craftsmen that take pride in their work and it shows.
McDermott cues don’t just look great, they play great. By using North American Hard Rock maple, McDermott is able to produce some of the lowest deflection shafts available.

Select Billiards’ Video Review:
This cue features a Recon Ebony butt sleeve. It also has eight short pewter and turquoise Recon Ivory points inlaid into the grip. The grip is an lizard-embossed Italian leather wrap which grips well to your hand during play.
The pewter and turquoise Recon Ivory points return in the forearm inlay for another splash of color. The joint is a 3/8 – 10 pin. The cue comes standard with a G-Core shaft which is a 13mm in diameter. The joint does take a bit longer to put together but that provides a good feel and the wood-to-wood joint helps even more. The installed tip is a Tiger Everest.
How It Actually Plays:
- G-Core Shaft (13 mm)
- Hitting the ball with a slow hit, the ball hit the far rail at about 1.5″ mark.
- Hitting the ball with a medium hit, the ball hit the far rail at the 2″ mark.
- Hitting the ball with a firm hit, the ball hit the far rail at about the 3″ mark.
This cue is simply beautiful. There’s not too much inlay in the forearm, just enough to give it a little “flash”. The metal inlays look great next to the turquoise ones. The leather wrap is awesome and sticks to your hand really well. This is a beautiful cue at the right price.
