Design
Lucasi pool cues are a great choice for the player who knows exactly what they like. Available in a variety of distinctly different styles, Lucasi cues are guaranteed to make a lasting impression on your opponent.
Playability
The Lucasi brand of cues play very smooth, thanks in part to their Zero-Flexpoint technology shafts which feature low deflection relative to their price point. If this is going to be your first “real” pool cue, you’re in for a treat.
Try It
If you’ve never tried a Lucasi cue, we’ve got you covered with the Select Billiards Hands-On Video Review and our own photos of the Lucasi LHC97 from every angle. It’s almost like trying it out for yourself!
Select Billiards’ Video Review:
Build Quality:
This cue features a high-gloss metal butt cap. It’s butt sleeve is composed of Maple with ten beautiful blue inlays all around. The inlays really catch the light when you’re rotating the cue in your hand.
The handle is a Lucasi rubber wrap, which is super grippy. If you’re the kind of player who’s hand tends to sweat when playing, a rubber handle is the best way to make sure you’ve got a strong grip on the cue. Lucasi’s rubber wrap is a perfect match for you.
The natural Maple wood continues on into the forearm. Once more, we see ten more brilliant blue inlays in the forearm, even longer than the ones in the handle. The collar is stainless steel and the cue features a Uni-Loc joint system.
This cue comes standard with Lucasi’s Zero-Flexpoint shaft which is a 12.75mm diameter. This shaft features “total sweet spot construction” which provides a low deflection shaft and provides a solid hit at a reasonable price.
How It Actually Plays:
- Hybrid Zero-Flexpoint Shaft(12.75mm)
- Hitting the ball with a soft hit, the ball hit the far rail at a little over the 1″ mark.
- Hitting the ball with medium hit, the ball hit the far rail at right around the 2″ mark.
- Hitting the ball with a firm hit, the ball hit the far rail between the 2.5″ and 3″ marks.
Final Thoughts:
This is a great cue and I love the beautiful blue inlays on it. The rubber grip is a very welcome addition too. This is an ideal mid-range cue and it plays great.
