Craft
McDermott cues are the result of over 35 years of pool cue making experience. These cues are made in America by craftsmen who all take great pride in their work and it certainly shows.
Construction
McDermott cues look like art pieces and they play wonderfully. By incorporating North American Hard Rock maple, McDermott is able to produce some of the lowest deflection shafts available.

Select Billiards’ Video Review:
Build Quality:
This cue features a Bocote butt with four sets of black and white, urethane, snakewood, and blue pearl forearm points. The wrap is a lizard-embossed leather wrap. Four more sets of points appear further up in the sleeve.
The joint is a 3/8×10 pin, with a G-Core Shaft and a Tiger Everest tip.
How It Actually Plays:
- G-Core Shaft (13 mm)
- Hitting the ball with a slow hit, the ball hit the far rail at about 1.5″ mark.
- Hitting the ball with a medium hit, the ball hit the far rail at the 2″ mark.
- Hitting the ball with a firm hit, the ball hit the far rail at about the 3″ mark.
Final Thoughts:
This is a great-playing cue by McDermott. I love the heavy grain of the natural Bocote wood; it gives the cue a natural, earthy look. The inlays give it a nice little bit of pop too. All in all, this is a beautiful cue that plays great.
