Build Quality:

This cue has a black, high gloss Maple finish on the butt cap. The BK2 is available in three grip types: a no-wrap, a black Irish Linen wrap and a Sport Wrap. Of the three, the Sport Wrap is the more grippy with very secure rubber ridges which hold to your hand. After that, the no-wrap is next and the Irish Linen is the least grippy.

The forearm is finished in the same high gloss black Maple and the Predator BK 2 logo is emblazoned along the side. This cue features a stainless steel joint with a Uni-Loc pin. It has a carbon fiber pad on top of the ferrule, with a phenolic tip on top.  It comes stock with a BK 2 shaft, which is designed specifically for this cue to ensure a powerful break.

How It Actually Plays:

This is a break stick so you don’t want to use it for normal play. You just use this to break the balls on your first shot. It hits extremely hard, due to it’s carbon fiber pad and pheonalic tip. Also worth noting is that it doesn’t grip the ball as well as a traditional leather tip. This cue is designed to give you lots of power and it delivers!

This cue hits very well. It’s a big break and it hits really hard. You can definitely feel the power in this cue when you first strike the cue ball.

Final Thoughts:

This is a fantastic break stick.  It’s got a clean design that’s appeals to all players. Play-wise, it’s a great choice if you’re looking to get an edge on the competition when you break. The balls seem to explode when you hit them with a Predator BK stick. For the money, this is a teriffic value, especitlaly considering the variety of grip types you have to pick from.
