Select Billiards’ Video Review:
This cue has a shiny butt cap with a high gloss black handle. It features Mother of Pearl points intersecting the black handle. Notice the subtle texture of the grey-stained Birdseye Maple forearm. This is a beautiful cue that’s perfect for anyone that prefers a more classic and elegant styling in their pool cue.
The cue incorporates a stainless steel collar along with Poison’s Uni-Loc Bullet Joint system which makes it very easy to break down and put back together. The threads are recessed inside the joint and both the shaft and butt feature unique serial numbers. All Poison BOLT cues come with a Venom shaft which has a 13mm diameter. A Sarin tip is installed on each BOLT pool cue.
How It Actually Plays:
- Venom Shaft (13 mm)
- With a soft hit, the ball hit the far rail at about 1.5 inch mark.
- With a medium hit, the ball hit the far rail at the 2 inch mark.
- With a firm hit, the ball hit the far rail a little over the 2 inch mark.
The Poison BOLT 4 is a great Entry Level cue in the Poison line. The low deflection of the Venom Shaft, combined with the clean black and white cosmetics really make this a great cue for just about any player. You really can’t go wrong with this cue. It’s truly a great value for the price you pay.
