Design
Players pool cues are a great choice for the player who wants solid performance and a reasonable price. Available in a wide variety of different styles, Players cues offer something for anybody.
Preformance
Players cues are solid, both in construction and performance. If this is your first “real” pool cue, you’re definitely going to notice a difference compared to the house cues you’ve been using.
Try It
If you’ve never tried a Players cue, we’ve got you covered with the Select Billiards Video Review of the HXT-P1. It’s almost like trying it out for yourself!
Build Quality:
This cue has a rubber butt cap with a stainless steel ring. The grip features Players’ Multi-Zone Grip Technology which gives you a variety of grip choices.
The forearm is solid black and features collar made of carbon fiber. This is a four piece jump/ break cue and it features a quick-release pin.
This shaft is maple and features a carbon fiber ferrule. The tip is an XLG Quad Face Phenolic.
How It Actually Plays:
Breaking:
This cue breaks very nicely. It hits really solid thanks to the combination of a carbon-fiber collar, low-deflection ferrule, and that phenolic tip. You can get a pretty powerful break out of it.
Jumping:
The cue can jump very well. It even has a detectable back section that allows you to get even more vertical and make those really tricks jump shots. Of course, it’s jumping abilities depend on your own skill level but if you’re looking to get better at jumping the balls, this cue is a great choice.
Final Thoughts:
This is a great breaking and jumping cue. It does both things really well. Both the joint and the ferrule are carbon fiber so you can count on great performance in both aspects.
