Design
BOLT pool cues are a perfect combination of Poison’s legendary accuracy and notable intimidation factor. If you’re a player who likes to make an impression before they’ve even taken their first shot, the Poison BOLT series of pool cues is designed for you.
Intimidation
Like any sport, pool games can be won or lost before the playing even begins. Showing up to a match with a Poison BOLT cue tells the other players that you’re here to win. When paired up with Poison’s Venom shaft, you’ve got a winning combination.

Select Billiards’ Video Review:
Build Quality:
This cue has a white butt cap with a natural Maple handle. It features Rengas points intersecting the Birdseye Maple handle. Take note of the complementing shades of light and dark woods. This is a cue for those who want to be seen but don’t need to make a big deal about it.
The cue incorporates a black Maple forearm with Poison’s Uni-Loc Bullet Joint system which makes it very easy to break down and put back together. The threads are recessed inside the joint and both the shaft and butt feature unique serial numbers. All Poison BOLT cues come with a Venom shaft which has a 13mm diameter. A Sarin tip is installed on each BOLT pool cue.
How It Actually Plays:
- Venom Shaft (13 mm)
- With a soft hit, the ball hit the far rail at about 1.5 inch mark.
- With a medium hit, the ball hit the far rail at the 2 inch mark.
- With a firm hit, the ball hit the far rail a little over the 2 inch mark.
Final Thoughts:
Summing it all up, the Poison BOLT 2 is a great cue and you really can’t go wrong for the price. The cosmetics are beautiful and the Venom shaft has a fantastic feel when you use it. This is definitely a great entry level cue and you get a lot of bang for your buck.
