Select Billiards is finally live
It’s been a long time coming but I’m very happy to announce that Select Billiards is finally launching. The first people that get to check it out are those who have signed up in advance. If you’re reading this right now, it’s likely that you are one of those excellent people. I’d like to take this time to thank you for helping to make this website possible. Were it not for your encouragement, I would likely never have created this website.
Before Select Billiards opened, the process of buying a pool cue online was needlessly complicated. Most websites that sell pool cues have far too many brands, offer a confusing amount of options, show too few images and feature tons of rules and stipulations in their various company policies. With Select Billiards, I set out to solve all those problems.
Offering every single possible pool cue on the market is NOT what Select Billiards is all about. There are plenty of other companies that provide that service to the pool players of the world. Instead, I realized that the real strength of my website is offering only a limited number of brands. By focusing on Quality over Quantity, I can ensure that we sell only the best pool brands on the market today. If you see a pool cue on Select Billiards, you can be sure that it’s absolutely top quality.
Additionally, other websites tend to get bogged down with offering users too many options for their pool cues. They offer 20 different tip replacements, extra shafts, engraving, add-on cases and boxes of chalk. These are up-sells may be useful to a few customers in certain situations, but on the whole, I’ve found that pool cue manufacturers do a great job of providing just the right combination of shafts and tips. By focusing on just the essentials, Select Billiards is able to spend more time on the aspects of cue buying that matter most…
Pool cues are a largely visual product. While it’s true that different brands have different performance levels, a lot of cue buying decisions are made by simply inspecting the cue’s overall design. Most pool cue websites offer only a single stock image of the cue. This is another area where I’ve worked to improve on Select Billiards. Since we have a vast warehouse of cues, we’re able to take pictures of the cues from every angle. Every cue we sell on Select Billiards is shown from every possible angle to ensure that you can get a feel for exactly how the cue looks in real life.
In addition to our custom photos of every pool cue, I’ve also provide a video review for you to see exactly how it performs in real life play conditions. This is unlike any other website online today and I’m thrilled to be able to provide this content to you. In addition to showing you the cosmetics of the cues, the Select Billiards Cue Review Video also explains the various bits of technology used in the cue’s construction. Even better, I take practice shots with each of the shafts available for every cue so you can see exactly how much deflection they exhibit.
I’ve spent a lot of time building this website. It’s my goal that Select Billiards becomes a hub for discussion about the various pool cues we sell. As you browse the site, please let me know if you have questions or suggestions for improving the site. I’m always available via the Contact page and I answer all messages within 24 hours.
Thanks again for all the encouragement!
